The Lesbian Book Club – an excellent series of interviews by Clare Lydon with many lesfic authors.


Diva Literary Festival – a major lesfic festival from Diva Magazine with authors from mainstream, genre publishers and indies too.

Bold Strokes Books Festival UK – held in Nottingham usually in the first weekend of June, and is a great opportunity to meet the UK (and some not so UK!) Bold Strokes authors. The event is entirely free and during the weekend, you can hear authors read from current and upcoming works, meet and mingle with like-minded folk, pitch your novel to one of the BSB commissioning editors, and get an insight into the publishing process.

L Fest – The Lesbian Music, Arts, and Comedy festival has a great line up of top authors attending.

Polari events are entertaining LGBT literary events held at the Southbank Centre in London and around the country.


Bella Books A US-based publisher with a quietly expanding list of UK authors.

Bold Strokes Books An established LGBT publisher with an excellent number of UK authors.

Ylva Publishing a German-based publishing house with a growing number of UK authors on its books.


The Lesbian Review – a large and still growing review site packed with lesfic reviews.

The Lesbian Reading Room – reviews, blogs, listings by the Velvet Lounger and a good source for reviews of UK lesfic in particular.


Gay’s The Word – The UK’s last surviving LGBT bookshop, stocks an absolute feast of lesfic and is well worth a visit if you’re down in London.


Women and Words – An excellent, lively, and well-loved site that covers a wide range of lesbian fiction, with plenty of contributions from UK authors.
