Nottingham Festival of Words

5 Feb

theimage_1131The first annual Nottingham Festival of Words, which is taking place between February 9th-24th, will see events being held all over the city. Bold Strokes Books, which has a lively bunch of authors and readers over here in the UK, are taking part in the event, so we asked their Submissions Coordinator and Development Editor (and UK Representative!) Victoria Oldham what we could look forward to:

“The LGBT events include a panel of prose reading on Saturday 16th February, which will include readings by myself, Andrea Bramhall, and Amy Dunne, followed by a panel discussion on the state of LGBT literature today. On Sunday 17th, there’s LBGT poetry and performance. You can also get a queer tarot reading and there will be a BSB book stall in the vendors section. All events will take place in the Newton Arkwright building on the Nottingham Trent Uni city campus, located just off the tram stop. Andrea, Amy and I will all be happy to chat and sign.”

More information on the festival, including ticket availability, can be found on the main website.
